The basics
Why we have rules
Our rules keep the fish healthy and the banks safe and pleasant for everyone. Please read them before you visit. The fishery may refuse entry, ask visitors to leave without a refund, or apply bans for rule breaches, antisocial behaviour or safety concerns.

Tickets, licences and juniors
- All anglers must hold a valid ticket before fishing.
- A valid Environment Agency rod licence is required where applicable, and must be produced on request.
- Under 14s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
- Guests and non-fishing visitors must be approved by fishery management.
- Tickets are non-transferable unless agreed by the fishery.

Fish care and handling
- A suitable landing net and padded unhooking mat are required.
- Fish must be handled low to the ground and never stood with.
- Return fish to the water as quickly and safely as possible.
- No fish may be removed from the venue under any circumstances.
- No fish may be retained in sacks or transferred between waters.
- Report injured, distressed or damaged fish to fishery management immediately.

Tackle and methods
- Barbless single hooks only for general fishing. No barbed or micro-barbed hooks.
- No braided mainline.
- No unsafe fixed rigs, tether rigs, leadcore or bolt rigs. Rigs must be safe and free-running so a fish cannot become tethered.
- No lure fishing, spinning or dropshotting unless specifically authorised.
- No keepnets unless used as part of an official match.
- Maximum two rods per person unless agreed by management. Rods must never be left unattended.

Bait
- No live bait. No nuts or peanuts. No trout pellets or high-oil pellets.
- No excessive baiting, spodding or dumping bait into the lake.
- Particles and boilies must be used sensibly and in moderation.
- Leftover bait must be taken home and not thrown into the water.
- The fishery may restrict bait types during hot weather or poor water conditions.

Swims, parking and site conduct
- Fish only from designated swims.
- Do not cut, clear or damage trees, reeds, bankside plants or wildlife areas.
- Vehicles must be parked only in designated parking areas, and must not block gates, tracks, access points or emergency routes.
- Please keep noise low, especially early morning, evening and night sessions.
- No loud music, antisocial behaviour or excessive drinking.
- No swimming, wading, drones, firearms or dangerous behaviour.

Dogs, fires, litter and safety
- No dogs on site.
- No barbecues or open fires. Camping stoves only, used safely and responsibly.
- Take all litter, bait tubs, line, hooks and waste tackle home, and do not leave broken line or hooks on the bank.
- Children must be supervised around the water at all times.
- Visitors enter and fish at their own risk.
